- Cathy grew up in Illinois and still remembers the first time she heard one of her elementary teachers read poetry from Shel Silverstein's "Where the Sidewalk Ends". She was hooked! Cathy's poetry has appeared in the anthologies "AND THE CROWD GOES WILD!: A GLOBAL GATHERING OF SPORTS POEMS" and "LADYBUG, LADYBUG AND OTHER FAVORITE POEMS".
